Hi! I’m Rebecca, a fitness professional and founder of BeNaturallyFit living in Vancouver, BC. The philosophy behind BeNaturallyFit is about connecting women on their journey to a happier, healthier lifestyle through an online community. My goal is to provide you with knowledge and continuing support to create your own unique nutrition and fitness routines for lasting results, beginning with a healthy mindset.
Growing up in New Brunswick, I danced with an intensive youth company at one of the best dance schools on the East Coast. I trained extensively in ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary and was fortunate enough to also attend the National Ballet School and Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
A career in dance was a possibility, but I was drawn to the West Coast’s renowned healthy, active lifestyle, so in 2002 I moved to Vancouver BC, where I met my husband and where we are now raising our two daughters.
After a few years of living the lifestyle I was searching for, my interest turned to passion and I decided to make a career out of fitness, dance, and healthy living.
Since then, my fitness career has been continually growing and expanding… beyond dance training I have an extremely diverse fitness and nutrition background.
To begin with, I am a plant-based nutrition enthusiast who has been studying clean living and eating as well as healthy lifestyles for over 10 years. This forms the foundation for how my family and I eat plus any nutrition work I do with my clients.
My current schedule has me leading spin classes at Eastwood Cycle Sanctuary and Y-Yoga , and Barre classes at Barre Fitness. My connection to ballet remains and I teach ballet to a group of elite rhythmic gymnasts. I also work extensively with clients one-on-one, small groups and teach a series of bootcamps in North Vancouver.
Through my journey, I am always learning new ways to help my clients. I am a certified instructor for Barre Fitness, spin, weight training, TRX, and are a registered group fitness instructor through BCRPA. Last but not least, my passion for movement and mindfulness has also lead me to achieve my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate.
One thing that sets me apart is that I truly understand the struggles of having a career, being a mom, a wife, and juggling a social life. I also know what these things can do to de-rail your fitness and nutritional goals. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out but what really excites me is working with you to achieve your fitness goals, and live the healthy lifestyle you’re seeking.
