Orange Miso Turmeric Tahini Dressing

Image

My family is slightly obsessed with this orange miso turmeric tahini dressing, we use it on fish, salads, buddha bowls and just use it for a dip for roasted veggies. It comes as no surprise that I love making versions of tahini dressings. The nutty creaminess of it lends itself to any tasty dressing and the fast that it’s a great source of healthy fat, is loaded with other minerals including… CALCIUM!

Turmeric is a powerful healing spice that I consume almost daily! To check out all of the healing properties of turmeric, read about the health benefits here.  Using a little black pepper really activates the turmeric.

ALSO- you are getting the bonus health benefits of the orange (vitamin C) the garlic (anti-viral) and the miso (fermented probiotics). It’s pretty much the healthiest salad dressing you could make:)

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 1 large navel orange juiced
  • 1 nub of turmeric
  • 1 tsp of red miso paste
  • 3 tsp of tahini
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • splash of water to help thin it out a tad…

WHAT TO DO

  1. Juice the orange, peel the garlic and add everything to your high-speed blender. The amount of water you use is up to you. Using 2 oranges also works if you want more of that sweetness to come through:)

Use this dressing on salads, roasted veggies, as a dip, over meat or fish or as a spread in a sandwich or wrap. It’s a real crowd pleaser.

Enjoy!
